April 2013 iPhone

I guess this will have to be a new thing for me.  All the pics I take on my phone are so expressive of our daily life that I'm not willing to leave them out just because they were taken with my phone and not my "black beauty".  So here we are.  I think I'll just caption each one.  I think down the road these will be really fun for the kiddos to look at.  Lot's of randomness, sillyness and just plain fun.

Just Ollie.  My mama's boy. Love this face.

Homework.  Back to the grind after a fun spring break.
Not nearly enough pics of my man make it onto the old blog.  Mostly because he's a workaholic.  On the last day of spring break, Kahner and I got sick :0( really sick.  So Duc played Mr. Mom and cleaned the house, did the laundry, the cooking and cleaned out our puke bowls when necessary (gross!!  I know!) what a man!
Ollie wasn't too upset we were sick.  We stayed home from school on Monday and he got to play all the games he wanted.  Not only because I just needed him to be happy, but because Kahner didn't have the energy to play or boss him on how to play, hahahaha.  Heaven for Ollie.
Only in Utah can you have nice 70 degree weather one day and rain/snow/sleet the next. sigh.
Lot's and lot's of rest for my little man while he was sick :0( we vegged on the couch all day together.
 Ava tried to help too...
K man learned how to ride a two wheeler!  He was so proud of himself, and so are we!
My little monkey mama.  Nothing stops this little thing from getting what she wants.
Conference weekend (the end of our spring break) we took the kids to ride their bikes down at Veterans Memorial Park. It was a perfect day.

*Conference Side Story:
Driving in the car on Saturday morning we were listening to conference.  Elder Eyering began speaking of Oliver Cowdry (Oliver's name sake) and he started to quote some scripture.. "Behold, thou art Oliver..." Ollie's ears perked right up like a little puppy and his eye's got big, "MOM! WHY is that guy talkin' to ME?!"  It gave me great pleasure to explain that, yes, he is in fact, talking to YOU.  To which lead into a discussion about how Ollie got his name.  Loved it.
Kahner got pretty serious about his General Conference Bingo.  He wanted to make sure he filled in as many as he could so that nobody else in his church class would have more than him :0)
Ahhhhh spring.  Glorious, beautiful, intoxicating spring.  You peek out from behind the storm clouds, tease us with balmy 70ish weather.  Then you slam the door and go back to bed for a few more days.  Just for fun.
 Doing our nails.
Sometimes being a kid is such hard work...
Why is it that Grandma's always have change?  (And always have time to stop and smell the flowers with her grandbabies.)
This year's field trip with Ollie's class to the children's museum.
Spring break play date with our besties. (Poor Jaden fractured his arm hence the big ol' arm in the shirt!)
Pretending to be a Helicopter Air Traffic Controller.
Seriously.  I don't think they could be any cuter!  Well, minus those lame vests they made them wear.
My funny Ollie.  He rarely lets me take anything but silly pictures of him.  Love that silly smile!
 Ava.

I love these pics Ava took one night.  She was sitting on the counter (next to me) while I was cooking... I thought it was fun to see her point of view.
It was really fun this year to see what kind of flowers would pop up in our garden!  Since this is our first spring in this house.. first there were crocus...

Kahner's depiction of his stuffed pet snake in watercolor...
such a spoiled little missy sometimes.  Auntie Kathy bought her this adorable Tinkerbell costume that should fit her in about two more years.... but she doesn't care that it doesn't fit.
(blurry I know!) Helping at kahner's school.  Ava loves her boys so much!
I know I'm awful taking pictures at church.  But they were just too darn cute to resist!
 Again at the school...
