During Ollie's last few weeks of school, they had a Farm Expedition. Rather than take the kids to the farm, they brought the farm to the kids! They got to raise some baby chicks in the classroom for about 3 weeks. One weekend we got to bring them home and watch them over the weekend. It was a very exciting weekend. Shortly after we said goodbye to schedules, volunteer opportunities and our lovely teachers for the summer.
Cleaning out the chickies bin...
Be still my beating heart! Sweet brothers holding hands. I know this won't last so I snapped a quick shot!
Breakfast with dr. Suess!
Sweet girl. She was so patient with me while I helped in the classroom!
Again, my sweet boy was worried Ava was scared of the fire drill. He held her had all the way.
Those polka dot's though...
And how could I possibly forget Ollie's kindergarten Discovery program!? They sang a song from Peter Pan "I don't want to Grow up" Oh, little boy, I don't want you to grow up either! But oh how I love watching you do it!
We love this school.
Ava's favorite friend at school. Pam is the best lunch lady slash check-in lady ever! Ava was quite fond of her.
And Miss Andersen. It was her first year as a teacher and I'd say she passed with flying colors! Kahner loved her and loved going to school.
(there's that adorable toothless grin!)
Mr Edvik, the Director. He does an amazing job!
managed to get a pic of Ollie's a.m. kindergarten class all together!
Miss Emily, notorious for her hug's!
Ollie loved Miss Emily's class. She inspired us and had Ollie growing in leaps and bounds!
Of course he was an angel most of the time... but he did hit a little bump in the road one day (along with literally the entire rest of the class, poor miss emily!)
Ollie grew in more ways than one this year!
Last circle up!
Kindergarten Games are the best! Remember the Hokey Pokey...
and Red Rover!?
Ava and her cute friend Enzo had fun playing too...
Back to red rover! Run Ollie, Run!
and of course, how could I forget Miss Crystal! Ava loved her preschool class and had a great time making friends and learning new things. We are so thankful for the teachers in our lives! Thank you Miss Crystal for all you do!
And thus ended our 2014 school year. There were ups and downs and many in between, but all in all we love our school and hard working teachers! I'm sure they're as ready for a break as we are!
