As some of you know, and some of you may not know, I serve in the youth group at church. Specifically, the 15-18 year old girls. It is a relatively new calling for me and has brought me challenges, newfound faith and lot's and lot's of good times. I had the opportunity to attend Youth Conference at Aspen Grove this year, which includes, young men and young women ages 14-18 and their leaders.
We had the privilege of attending a wonderful fireside, and I was taken back to high school with a youth dance... oh my. I also faced my fear of heights by successfully completing a high ropes coarse. And, my favorite part, enjoy the bounteous beauty of God's green earth. Aspen Grove is actually a family camp up near Sundance in Provo Canyon. There is SO much to do there! (seriously, I'm not getting paid to say this, but if you're looking for a site for a family reunion, look no further! So. MUCH. to. do.) The views were absolutely awe inspiring and absolutely breathtaking. I have a special place in my heart for these mountains as my family has a cabin nearby and it is absolutely on my list of places of Zen, my happy place.
And the pictures just don't even come close to doing these majestic mountains an ounce of justice. None the less, I would be remiss if I didn't post any of them.
The only way down from hell the ropes coarse is... more down!
Me and one of the girls, Taylor, facing our fear together. We both did it and neither of us died! Oh happy day!
All strapped in and hiding my fear with a big ol smile.
Zen. A hike with some of the girls.

Just having fun being girls...
There is beauty all around...
I have come to love every single one of these girls (not all were pictured... some were a bit shy) so much more than I knew I would or could. I am so very thankful for the opportunity I have had in the few short months I've been in the Young Women program, to strengthen my faith, test my limits and learn so much about myself and these beautiful girls. God is good.
